NS3 helicase is a protein expressed in Hepatitis C that is crucial for viral replication. NS3 translocates on a single-stranded RNA consuming ATP. We have performed microsecond molecular dynamics on several NS3-RNA complexes in different conformations and bound to different ligands. Our results provide a further step in the understanding of NS3 translocation on RNA. The simulated trajectories can be seen on YouTube.

Results have been just accepted for publication on Nucleic Acids Research. A preprint is available on arXiv.
